I figured they are slammed. I'm not in a rush. I'll just continue to wait patiently.

I did get a response, though it was essentially saying that they’d reach out whenever my application was next in the pile. No idea when that may be (two weeks, two months, next year?)

Every morning is like Christmas morning for me- I make coffee and update my publication dates and just hope to hear anything. Five a’clock comes, disappointment sets in. Wake up the next day, and it’s Christmas again. Once or twice a month I update my total times as well.

It’s a madhouse, but don’t give up. There are many in it with you (is that a good thing or a bad thing? Ha).

Good luck!

Same as above, received a response in 2-3 days but it basically said keep waiting.

Would be nice if they’d just sent a TBNT if not interested.

They were slow when very few people were applying and the company was short on pilots and they’re getting a ton of applications these days. They’re paying better than other regionals and ULCCs. Expect the application process to take 6-12 months. Honestly, if you can’t wait go somewhere else. Your schedule and QOL will probably be better.

Finally got a response. I had 3 general questions. I was told that if I wanted answers I needed to apply on AirlineApps...which is very disappointing, but I applied nonetheless.
(Me 1000+ previous 121, 280 hrs on Emb-145). Curious to see how long to hear back now that I've officially applied.
One question I did ask was about commuter hotels-what's the process? Anyone know? Is it as simple as asking and receiving or do they make you jump through hoops?

There is a “crew scheduling” form on the Piedmont employee website. You fill it out. You get a commuter hotel. 2 per month. Very easy.

That is quite easy-thanks for clarifying.

Or alternatively you call right before you takeoff or right after you land from your commute in the night before and tell schedule you’d like a room and they set it up. Commuter rooms are generally a pretty easy process unless you’re asking for one after 11 pm when some hotel venders cut off van service and they have to coordinate separate transportation.

You also get 6 a quarter, 4 max a month from what I was told. Getting a hotel and a ride after 11 is a pain but it’s all good in my book cuz my thought is I’m gone from home anyways so if I’m delayed starting tomorrow, I’m delayed. Commuting to Charlotte is the way to go from any locale unless you live in the northeast and have the flights for Philly. Commuting to Philly has become a nightmare over the last two years out of almost anywhere…at least for me it was.

How many flights per day to PHL from your place?
