So basically, as soon as you hit the line you will probably hold upgrade.
Claiming to hold upgrade in "6-7" months is misleading at this point in my opinion. I am going into month 8 and have been unable to hold Captain thus far. Maybe my timing is off but proof is in the pudding.

I've seen people become captain in three month's here over the last year..

We need captains desperately.. im working ny booty off.. that being said once we transition the phl and sby dash people to the jet this place is going to need at least 15 to 20 captains a month to keep up with growth and attrition.. we are losing 5 captain's a month to flow alone..

Every morning on my last trip I had to hear from another person in the food court or crew room complain that they were supposed to be a captain in 6 months and its now 7 or 8 months. than I see the senior guy next to him.. clench his fists ready to strangle em.

These people are in a great spot.. making great money.. 600 dollars a day when you work open time.. we're all in a great spot with an organization that is going through massive changes in all departments that has a lot of internal and external support.

I held captain, as did others junior to me in my class (11/7/16) last permanent bid. That bid was submitted in May sometime. November-May = six months. Seven if you want to take it through June to the day the bid awards was published. So it's not misleading, if you have the prior time.

Now, time to have upgrade seniority vs. actually being assigned a class date is a different story. Training dept is still treading water while trying to hold a cinder block over its head, also while wearing a backpack full of bricks and spare Dash Parts.

When does first year pay end? The anniversary of your InDoc date with the company or the anniversary of your start of training?

I meant for cases where guys show up for a week for company Indoc then get called back a couple months later to start aircraft training (systems, ground school, whatever you want to call it)... since that's the norm currently. Does first year pay and probation end on the anniversary of your start date with the company or anniversary of your start date in start in aircraft training?

So is the answer probation and first year pay ends on the anniversary of your start date? If so, great.

Not every company does it this way.

Yes that's correct. Indoc starts the clock for all of this.
