I hear a lot of really, really, incredibly dumb $hit out of people at this airline. That was one of the worst.
If you feel backed into a corner to vote yes on something that's less than we deserve simply because it's only 5 items up for negotiation, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
If you take any increase just because it's slightly better than what we have now YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. That would be like putting sprinkles on a dog turd and calling it a sundae.
We are in the drivers seat. They will bring our pay and QOL up to industry standards, or this place will not get new pilots. It won't keep current pilots.
That captain has a horribly wrong take on our situation. You swallowed it hook line and sinker. We are better than this. Wise up

Voting no just because you think that management will have to go back to the drawing board and come back with something more competitive at this point is a gamble. We are owed some improvements but understand that this negotiation was something management gave us to sweeten the pot when loa 19 was brought to the table.
Our staffing levels are getting better, we don’t have issues with getting full classes, and our attrition is less than what we’re bringing on board. It could take a long time to get improvements by trying to play hard ball.
If the amendment is worth it, vote your conscious. I’m not voting no just to try to strongarm management into coming back with something else if the amendment is worthwhile.

Listen, all I was saying was voting no for the sake of voting more won’t yield results like it would if we were voting on an actual tA or contract. If they try to hand us a terrible amendment, then obviously a no vote would be completely fine.

If this thing is good, then it's good. And I really hope it's good.

If he/she was actually correct I think Piedmont would be in a much worse position if that becomes reality.
