Final Thoughts
Line pilots for the last few years have been working 4/2 and dealing with inefficient trip pairings which severely limit QOL.
Until we can get relief in the form of an agreement that states a pilots days off awarded in the initial bid can not be changed and lines that are 4/3 we should hold firm.
More efficient schedules not only help the pilots but the company as well. Many will flow soon and attrition will pick up as 10,000 pilots will be hired at the big 8 alone in the next few years.
To vote in anything that doesn’t include firm language that protects QOL would hurt future pilots and also our other WO carriers.

This.
To continue to allow Piedmont to construct 4 day trips that pay less than 20 hrs pay makes them inefficient and your QOL abysmal. I have no idea how any pilot at Piedmont can hold a life together with two days off.
This proposal is simply a Jerry Glass intern victory over you. Probably negotiated by a 26 yr old kid. They get big bonuses when the hammer you down. It's amazing to see the defeatist attitude on this forum. You will fit in well with the APA mentality if you flow. Bottom of the airline world.

Agreed, this is no time to make any concessions on QOL. While the terms negotiated may be a "snapshot," it reflects more management's attitude to the pilot group than true leverage we have. The market will force the company to slowly address QOL here. It forced it to address pay rates not so long ago. Most people hired over the past few years could swallow the schedules for a true 4-5 year flow. Don't think many new hires are willing to do the same for an 8+ year flow, and less pay than competitors. My thinking is vote no, don't concede, hold the line and force the company to address the now very public QOL issues at PDT.
