Default How long to hold CLT? (CA & FO - RSV & line)

I apologize if this is covered elsewhere (I couldn’t find it, but I may be a donkey when it comes to searching).

How long does it take to hold CLT RSV for both a CA & FO currently? What about a line in CLT for a CA & FO?

If you may be a donkey, may I be an emu?

Lowest seniorioty number FO side is a may 2019 hire and captain side is showing a few DECs with less than a year on property. As far as line holding, I dont have the exact numbers but reserve times are very short for FOs (probably 2 months or less) and if youre coming in with 0 121 time i wouldnt expect to sit long on reserve when you upgrade in a few years.

I feel like this is a little misleading as the next people up the list are summer of 18 hires. Currently to hold a line is about 14-18 months from doh in clt. There is some luck in this as I know several people senior enough to hold lines in clt who are still waiting to get awarded clt because you can’t displace someone junior to you out of a base. Obviously this is a very dynamic situation but I wouldn’t come to PDT expecting clt out of training and a clt line being on property for 6 months.... ask me how I know
P.s I’m referencing straight lines not bup in this

FWIW, I've been here a little over 3 years, and I'm just a few numbers above the junior lineholding captain in CLT.

Thanks to all. Roughly how many lines (non-BU) are there currently in PHL and CLT?

I likely wouldn’t have any prior 121 time (or other time that would count toward the 1000 hrs required to upgrade) - I should’ve mentioned that initially.

Love it - it’s 2019, my friend, so I do believe you are cleared for takeoff (and unrestricted climb?...) as an emu!

For the September bid package there were 59 CLT hard lines and 136 PHL hard lines. Same count for both CAs and FOs.

Thank you for clarifying. After looking at the list youre 100% right. Charlotte has been a see saw sincs it opened, going very junior sometimes and very senior at the next bid. I would agree, dont come to piedmont for a quick line in charlotte. Ask on the PSA forum, I think CLT is relatively junior (after some of their outstation bases).

Until (read; if) there is more growth at piedmont I would expect reserve times to increase as well, for both seats.
