Does that mean out of 720 applicants 12 were hired?

No.

We have a total of 720 pilots, which includes the 12 new hires this month. Line pilots cant pull the number of applications, that is a question for recruiting.

Lol, I bet there were only 10 applicants. It wouldn’t surprise me if 2 (or more) are from RTP or cadet flows who were ‘hired’ a year or so ago.

Which equals the amount we flow each month.

So to answer the creator of this thread’s question, yes, hiring at PDT has slowed down.

Which is either intentional, or they can’t get anyone to show up to class.

2 full classes is the hope, with 10 in each class (or is it 20 per class?). They can have 4 classes, but if only 2 show up per class, that’s still less than 1 full class of 10.

The higher attrition that is to come later this year hasn’t even kicked in full gear yet.

AA isn’t going to give us any more money (to help them out), they are really going to need to get serious about QOL improvements if they still wants jobs next year. (That isn’t to say PDT will be gone, rather AA will be forced to find someone can can run an airline in the 20th century or utilize the technological benefits of said times).

Speaking of QOL improvements, whatever happened with the union and company “talking” about that? It’s been nothing but the sound of crickets as usual. I guess everything is on hold until BF finally retires in December.
