PDT vs PSA

I’m undecided on which regional I want to go to. My main priority is CLT/Pay over QOL

PSA is currently a better choice. PSA will give you a better quality of life and pay. You’ll definitely have a better schedule, credit more (make more money doing less work). I can’t speak to how long it will take you to hold CLT (ask that on the PSA page), but the wait will be better than coming to PDT. Don’t even consider flow. Flow is honestly about the same for a new hire today at this point between all 3 WOs.

The only reason to come to PDT right now is if you live at PHL and don’t want any reserve and you want to work 4 days on and 2 days off over and over again every month forever. Yes, you’ll be able to get CLT eventually, but your schedule will still be terrible 4 days on 2 days off with inefficient trips and min credit.

Go to PSA. You’ll make more $, work less, and you’ll have CLT.

Many of my friends at Piedmont have told me that if they weren’t flowing in 2-3 years they’d go elsewhere but they’re in too deep now. Don’t get me wrong, they’re happy(ish) but feel there are better choices.

Alternatively, at psa I average 101-121 hrs a month. Usually with 12-14 days off. Took a trip to Germany last year before upgrade, and I was able to drop down my hours and have 3 weeks off in a row without using any vacation time. That was a huge plus, having that kind of control and freedom with my schedule.

Biggest complaint from my friends is not being able to get the time off they want. Even when that triple premium is available they can’t go anywhere to spend it.

Or they’re constantly missing important calendar dates where as I’ve never missed xmas, thanksgiving, bdays, anniversary’s, or any other important event.

PSA CLT based time to hold round 1 line (SAP):

FO ~ 14 Months
CA ~ 54 Months

With that being said, much better quality of life overall at PSA if you were forced to depend on the flow.
