We have 20 slots allotted right now for fully qualified DECs. We also have 20 slots for folks getting close to CA mins. Was just announced a few days ago. Rumor has it the DEC program wasn稚 too successful. Heard something like a 2/3 fail rate. Can稚 confirm though....

Do people understand coming here as a DEC that they値l probably never hold a line? Couldn稚 imagine being on reserve for life here. [emoji1787]

They looked at training and retention... apparently butts were hurt that so much resources were used for the DEC. Not your fault, it's the company..

Yeah retention is a different story. 4 of the 6 are gone that I know of.

DEC and Reserve

I知 looking at DEC. How long is reserve? I heard 2 years? I understand 11 days off per month. Can they assign 6 consecutive reserve days in a particular month? Thanks.

You are looking at a lengthy reserve period with 11 days off and they typically will schedule 6 day blocks

You値l be reserve forever, at best build up. You値l literally be more junior every month as FOs ahead of you upgrade.

2 1/2 to 3 year captains are bouncing between a build up lines and a hard lines in PHL.
