Company thinks PBS will be a “win” for them because they can further screw the pilot group with it. Hope it’ll be the catalyst needed to get everyone to leave that place, but I doubt it, because “flow”.

Time to put Mngmt in the unemployment line or retired.

People believe PBS will be good for the pilot group. They don't understand what PBS is and the fact that the pairings are the same ones they are dealing with now.

Why are you still here? I’m sure it’s not too difficult to get hired by another regional or even a LCC. Some people have different priorities than you do when deciding where to go...The schedules here are really my only complaint and still have a long way to go, but they’re leaps and bounds better than they were just a few years ago when we were an outstation airline.

7. Would aviation interview guage be enough to study from for the interview
Thank you
1. Interviews usually take place every Tuesday in CLT.
2. Approximately 3 months from Indoc to finishing LOE.
3. PHL is a 90 min call in reserve, however, currently all pilots eligible to bid are holding lines in PHL.
4. Bases are determined by bidding which is determined by seniority.
5. Piedmont employees are able to fly for free on AA flights domestically, except in the case internationally - taxes apply. There is a comprehensive non-rev benefit that applies to you and your family. Spouse and kids (till a certain age) fly for free as well.
6. Upgrade time is averages between 12-18 months from LOE.
7. The interview is a full person evaluation. In addition to what you may read on the gauge, we take the time to analysis who our applicants are. We picked out several attributes we found to be common among good competent professional airline pilots, such as: integrity, professionalism, effective communication, etc, etc..

The fact that Piedmont doesn’t use PBS is just about the only thing that is okay about the schedules there. PBS allows the company to schedule you as efficiently as possible. That’s in their favor. The fight should be for min 13 days off or a duty rig. True min day. PBS will be a disaster for piedmont without some drastic protections put in place
My sentience has never been questioned by a meat servo before. What I was getting at is, I'm a run of the mill, not special pilot (warm body with certifications) looking for my first jet gig. I was considering Piedmont but there is no reason to go here if I can have a better qol elsewhere for the same pay or more . I also agree that PBS won't fix their schedules. But then again it doesn't matter because AI will take your meat servo...pilots jobs one day soon.

Do you also evaluate their attention to detail?

where to go, am a 145 don't wanna change machine to concentrate on other many things with the drastic change am in plus most important is the pay, the only regionals that pay 50/hour are PDT and ENV and their junior bases not far from CMH where I'd wanna live and their reserves are not bad 3 months tops then you get line and you start 4-6 weeks after interview.
would love your insight on this please.
