The future
What will the future look like? Is the scarce of 50 seat flying possibly being eliminated going to mean piedmont could fold. How’s the cash reserve. What about the cadet program.

As I like to tell my kids, “read the room.” Before asking a question such as this, “read the room” to see if it makes sense at this place and time.
Long story short: probably 80% of this site has no idea if they will keep their job, keep their seat, keep their base, or keep their plane in the next few months. As for 50 seat flying and cadet programs, that can has been kicked months if not years down the road.

Two things: 1) AA has dumped millions into our 50 seaters to make them last a very long time, per the CPO.
2) when we had the dash, we all thought the same about the “future” and whether or not Piedmont would fold following the dash 8. The truth is nobody knows. My two cents.

Honest question, since Piedmont flies a plane that envoy flies, why does piedmont need to exist? I know Piedmont and enjoy both handle ground services, seems like no frontline jobs would need to go away. How much redundancy is there and how much can it affect the bottom line?

Ask yourself why there are 3 regional airframes and 6 (I think?) regional partners.
I wonder why it's always Piedmont that has to go in these make believe scenarios, and not some other airline. Maybe you can answer that?

Not to mention Piedmont has one of the best on time performances of all the regionals.....

On-time performance or any performance metric doesn’t mean anything right now. It’s who’s cheap, and who can do it cheaper. Fortunately Piedmont is a fairly cost-effective operator to boot.
