New classes?

as long as mk is at the helm, expect more. he is a contract expert with decades of experience versus a junior pilot group that doesn’t know any better. he’ll find new ways to use the contract that will work in favor of the company. nothing new to see here, same ole pdt bs.

PDT has pretty much given up on their flight department. The flight department is still decades in the past in terms of equipment, work rules, and technology and management clearly does not care because they are able to stretch the flight crews as much as possible to cover the flying and make the operation as cheap as possible with zero investment in their crews’ QOL.
As the saying goes “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”, Management does not see any issues because they are fat, dumb, and happy. The poor quality of life for the crews does not affect them so they do not care.
Management is filled with a bunch of old timers that are out of touch with today’s world and think the pilot group has it so good - That because they suffered in their yearly years that the current pilot group should suffer too.
I’ll say this again, to anyone looking to enter the 121 regional world in the future, stay clear of PDT. There is no reason for you to come. Do not let them swindle you in with “flow”, or whatever BS line the recruitment department will sell.

You’d be surprised. The Piedmont “propaganda” department, aka, recruitment is pretty effective at selling Piedmont as a top notch regional to be at.
Don’t get me wrong, Piedmont is not a bad company. But let’s remember that Piedmont is a ground handling company with a small poorly run flight department.

PDT is fully staffed didn’t you know? That’s why there are extensions and jr mans and reserve crews flying full trips. Why hire more pilots when you can use and abuse the ones you have to “make it work”.
