False the dude sitting next to me in class was from PSA. FO hired around the flow.

He clearly wasn’t hired in December because I don’t think they would send out an email with fake numbers on it. I would be curious if that FO you speak of came directly from PSA or went to an ACMI or ULCC first. That pretty much invalidates the whole statement. And I don’t think anyone is trying to say it doesn’t happen ever,,,but if you compare the number hired at AA compared to elsewhere it’s hard to ignore the shear differences. Especially when AA has the most retirements and needs the most people.

Pretty much same everywhere. Last hires from Envoy, 9 were female, a few former military, and 2 who were within a year of flow.

There are two rather large career fairs happening in both Feb and March, NGPA and WIA. I know a lot of PDT pilots will be attending one or both.
If AA continues to be ultra selective about hiring outside the flow, then it will be their loss. PDT and the other WOs will continue to lose pilots to everywhere else, and I'm sure these two hiring events will only continue that trend. Delta and especially United seem to be happy to hire ALL Piedmont pilots, not just the ones that meet the demographic filter material.
