AA's grand plan was the bonuses to keep their WO's staffed. They assumed people would be "Okay" with waiting years to flow because they tossed them some money. Sorry, but that is not the case. Seniority and quality of life is everything.

People are going to continue to leave for other airlines/cargo to get in and strike while the iron is hot. Why wait years to flow to AA and have literally thousands of people above you on seniority? If AA really wants their WO pilots than they seriously need to step up the outside the flow hiring, and not just for the "select few". If they don't, their WOs will be bled dry by their competitors.

So where else have you applied besides AA?

Blaming diversity hiring protects the ego from facing the fact that you’re incompetent and can’t get a call back from anyone during the greatest hiring spree of our lives. Keep complaining on a forum that you can’t get hired tho, that’ll solve your issues. If you ever get a call to an interview anywhere, try not to blame everyone else for everything. They like if you take some responsibility and tell them what you learned.

oh and when you have your last flight at piedmont make sure you get a water cannon salute and a welcome reception. It’s super cool
Right, whatever you say.

Therein lies the quandary. If you apply elsewhere you get hired. But many worked for an AA wholly owned to get hired.........at American.

Of the 44 that left since December for Major airlines, 5 went to AA. 6 went to Delta.

There were 2 hired to AA outside of the flow in Dec and again in Jan. I wonder if that is their target or just a coincidence.

Looks like a few PDT folks were hired on at AA during WIA this past week. Most of them are Piedmont FOs too...
