How do I get my app bit?

5 hours short of ATP mins, have all other time requirements exceeded for full ATP, have a refferal on my app, no checkride failures or anything and I have not got any action from Piedmont which is where I really want to end up. I have emailed recruiting expressing interest but have been told they are just working on processing applications. I have been told that Piedmont is hiring FO's, is that no longer true? Really need any advice I can get to get my app bit.

Update your app when you meet all of the minimums and meet them at the Job fair if that doesn't work. The person who wrote your referral can also reach out to try to get you some attention.

Regionals are not hiring street FOs right now.

Get the ATP written done.
Yes, that means making a signifiant financial investment.
Yes, I am being serious.

They are hiring FOs...Those that have 500hrs + 121.436 time. just like evrey other regional. Street FO's applicants with ATP Mins are not in demand at the moment.

I can't speak to what they're doing today, but PDT started interviewing low time ATP candidates again in December 2023. I was fortunate to get an interview and will start class in May. I'm all part 91 time/CFI below 2000 hrs.
RPA is still hiring low time candidates as well. There's no shortage of applicants and new hire classes, despite the contract they have requiring you complete 2 years as a CA.

This is definitely an exaggeration based on your experience, and you said in other threads you chose not to apply to Republic, PSA, and Allegiant. That's like me saying the majors aren't hiring because the two I applied to aren't calling me for an interview. Many of them are hiring, they just aren't hiring me. Envoy and SkyWest are definitely hiring street FO's, I am not sure who else. All you can do is apply to everyone and keep improving your resume.

Pilot hiring is subjective, you don't always know everything they are considering when they decide who to interview. A couple years ago the regional airlines were interviewing pilots before they met their minimums and the joke was that all you had to do was fog a mirror. Those days are gone. Technically you can start training with less than the minimum, but that isn't competitive anymore. As more pilots enter the hiring pool, the airlines have more to choose from, and many are waiting months after reaching minimums to get a call. Not all pilots are created equal either, it's about a lot more than just your flight hours. An airline could weed out pilots based on anything they choose from failures to the grammar on your application to the way you earned your hours to who they think will stay the longest. All the FOs I have flown with at my regional built their hours flight instructing--although a few had hours from another regional--so I would conjecture they prefer that type of candidate. This may not be true everywhere though. All you can do is keep updating your applications and keep improving your resume and hire an application review service. I have.

Since then I have applied to both Republic and PSA just to test and they aren't biting either.

My whole point was just because they aren't calling you doesn't mean they aren't hiring. Just like Delta isn't calling me with 2200 jet 121 PIC and no failures. There must be a lot of competition because I'm not competitive enough for where I want to go and there must be some reason you aren't competitive enough for where you want to go. But I don't know enough to say exactly why that is. Some of the regionals are definitely still hiring, and it would be a shame if other pilots stopped applying just because you say they're not, because some of them may be more competitive than you. Hiring is subjective and just having the hours may no longer be enough.

Regionals falling all over themselves to hire people at 1475 was a historical aberration based on a specific set of circumstances. Those circumstances no longer exist.

Piedmont may hire at ATP mins, but if so they have many more applicants than jobs.

Cast a wider net. Apply to anything that will make your logbook better and go for it.
