Default Doug Parker to Sell PSA and Piedmont to RAH?????

Heared a few Piedmonster's in LGA saying Doug Parker was in talks with RAH to possibly sell both them and PSA to Republic

Id imagine that this has to do with the planned merger between Airways and Yo-Nited

As always feel free to offer your ideas or fact to this rumor

Old news...heard it like a week ago. Gotta love rumors.
Supposedly, United doesn't want to deal with any wholly owned subsidiary, so US Air will have to dump them in order to make a deal. We'll see what happens.

I wonder if RAH will learn how to use the CLT north ramp from PSA and/or Piedmont...

Heard about it from an FA too...Apparently Mike Scrobola (VP of Flight Ops) was meeting with RAH regarding the sale. I then heard it from a Captain and a new hire F/O within a couple days. Funny thing was, my captain asked me if I ever considered working for CHQ about 2 hours before we heard the rumor. Told him 'See, I could end up working for them after all'

Oh, and there is apparently a press release on the Republic website concerning this. Can any RAH people confirm this?

Sweet Sassy Molassy! I sure as hell havn't heard anything like that, I have hear some stuff come out of the rumor mill about us merging (i.e. Piedmont w/ PSA) with someone, but nothing quite like that.

I wonder what would happen to the pilots here. If that would mean some growth for us i would be all over that, but more than likely we'd lose a great deal of the benefits we have as a wholly owned.

Nope...just checked the RAH intranet...nothing there. REad Bedfords latest letter from yesterday...mentions the SKYWEST and XJET thing but nothing about us taking over anyone. Bedford has been trying to get OUT of the 50 seat business and I can't imagine he'd agree to take more of them.
