Laxrox,
What kind of times do you have? Are you at a school such as UND or Riddle? I heard unless you go to Riddle, UND, Purdue, you have to have 1500TT 500Multi. If you go to one of the above schools, it's only 600TT, 100Multi. Anyone else heard this at PDT? Just curious how strict they are with the 1500TT/500Multi if not coming from one of those schools.

DMBinHBurg,

PM me if you can.

Laxrox,
I can't, don't have 25 posts yet. Would you mind emailing me at [email protected] Thanks!

Ha!! I did the Piedmont thing for 6 months based in Harrisburg. I was one of 4 that ended up there from my class and now two of us are gone, and the other two are looking for new jobs. Keep in mind this is after 6 months!! It's not that any of us have shiny jet syndrome. . .it's because at Piedmont there is no future right now. I left Piedmont to go fly a Dash 8 for a different company closer to home. . .go figure. I've been in Ground school for two weeks and it is a world of difference.

At Piedmont, the rift between the Allegheny side and the Piedmont side still exists believe it or not. You'd hardly know it if you were based in SBY.

Where did the other person end up and where are the others looking to go, and why?

Check,
Do you mind explaining more? I always thought Piedmont would be a good place to work. Are things really that bad? You say no future, you mean they might be going out? Or managment is really bad?

You were obviously just one of the many low-low time FO's that felt they deserved to be somewhere "better" after a few hundred hours in the Dash 8. Sounds like you were one of the jokes that took off to fly for Freedom (Mesa), with the expectation of getting a quick upgrade. Good luck with that. Don't let your immense lack of experience get anyone killed, alright?

As for a future at Piedmont, I'm not sure what your expectation was. No, 787's won't be joining the fleet any time soon but the company's not going anywhere. Mainline makes a killing from Piedmont.
