Big news for PDT. ;)

Why would anyone else care about this?

prex8390 12-28-2016 10:22 AM

This happened like 2 weeks ago. He came from awac. If you answer the phone a British accent greets you, you'll know exactly who it is.

toolowterrain 12-28-2016 10:36 AM

-He was a LCA for like a few months, and became that presumably for the intent and purpose of covering FO flying. Just like Shaw. Why would they need to be LCA's when there is a few good folks I know that can't do it because they are stuck on perpetual reserve?

-Eddie is not a super hero pilot. He flew what..25-40hours on the RJ in the last few years?

Also, don't expect him to be looking out for your and your families best interest. He is 100% company man. As they want a CP to be, I guess.

Enjoy!

Yup, have fun with that cat.

I like that his biggest achievement as chief pilot at AWAC is stated as "leading the transition to electronic flight pads...". Way to go, Ed.

Well, PDT does seem to need all the help it can get in that department...

Well it was dragged out for like 5 years at awac too, welcome Navtech's newest US client, Piedmont!

Hey, its NavBlue now. An airbus company. Hahaha

Enjoy your unusable enroute charts,

metres, aerodrome, backbeam approach and other British lingo (ironic that ed is from there)

And finding the right plate under the incorrect name. So if you are looking for the BOJID2 you will find it under the SPUDS99 or something crazy like that lol. At least its like that in GSO anyways.

It's not like any of this stuff really matters, it doesn't involve navigational safety or anything.

PDT is never getting NavTech or any of the other BS out there. We will use the same platform and programs as the other WO's and American. As for our new chief pilot, I expect to never speak to him, just like the others before him. If he has something to say to me, we can discuss it over tea and biscuits. :)

el jefe 12-29-2016 05:16 AM

Eddie and Navtech

I feel bad for you guys now.

Just because you never have to talk to him, it doesn't mean that you won't be affected by his policies.

His policies? I don't think the Chief Pilot can do much but enforce the policies of the contract.

Piedmont will be getting the same Ipads and software as mainline. Navtech or any other program from AWAC ain't gonna happen.

Keep your nose clean, enjoy the fast movement in seniority and then flow to American. Simple steps.

Does anyone have specifics about his AWAC "policies?" I just don't see how he is going to reinvent the wheel here. I guess I'll start shaving everyday again and keep those occurrences to a baker's dozen or so ;)

Eddie is fine. Lets all quit fooling ourselves, BF is the real issue at AWAC.

Why don't you ask the pilot who had to go out on medical and he fired?

Talk to the pilot who is still number one FO in PHL and ask how he got screwed over by ESL not once, but twice.

Ask one of our pilots whose wife was real sick and Eddie threatened to discipline him if he tried to take FMLA?

ESL is a POS. Having him as. A CP is of no benefit to the PDT pilot group.
Trust me, the switchover to iPads was a huge debacle.
Plus I know a few FOs who have flown with him. He's a terrible pilot.
Good Luck, PDT. He's now your problem
