Medical Examination Question

I am applying for a 1st class medical in about a week and I was reading the application number 18v which states, if I have ever gotten convicted or arrested for a crime involving driving ,intoxicated, imparied by alchol or drug and 2) if I have ever had my driving license revoked, suspened or If I have ever been to a rehabilitation program. All of those are no but a year ago I did get a ticket for possession for marijuana in a vehicle so I would not need to reprt this on my medical correct?

I would say answer the question as asked. You said the answer would be No to the question(s) as presented. No requirement to volunteer information. I am sure the question related to your "other event" will be asked at some point but it's not a medical issue. There will be plenty of employment questions in the future that will capture your event.

Here is some info that might help- look for the paragraph on traffic violations. If still in doubt talk to a lawyer who is familiar with the FAA.

Not to be judgmental but, "SAY NO TO DRUGS"!

Thanks for the information and of course, honestly the stupidest and only ticket I have ever gotten. Thanks again.

Life is not perfect. We all make mistakes. Some of us get lucky and just never get caught doing something we should not have been doing in the first place. And then there are those who don't inhale! Own up to it, learn from it and move on. Best of luck in your aviation endeavors!
I assume you are a young adult. Don't fall on your sword. It's not the end of the world provided you make it a true learning experience.

"Stupidest" because you were using marijuana, or because you got caught?

In my opinion...

You would answer "No" to 18.V

But you would answer "Yes" to 18.W...unless the infraction was less than a misdemeanor. Don't guess on that, do the research. Don't answer yes if you don't have to, but you darn well had better not answer no if it should be yes.

Does anyone know when 18v first appeared?
