DFW AME Recommendation
Looking for an AME in the DFW area. Have been with the same AME since 2008 until my last visit when he retired. Never any health issues in my life. Try to eat well, exercise and have maintained optimal weight for 10 years. Regular physician checkups all good and reported as required. No arrests, convictions, DUIs, etc. Had zero issues with previous AME.
Asked everyone I flew with for recs and finally settled on one. Absolute worst experience ever getting a 1st Class. Cooperated and graduated but will never put my career on the line like that again. I'm not concerned about cost. It's worth every penny of a high fee if I can get a pilot friendly AME I can trust. I know about Doc Griffin in Roanoke but have ruled him out. Want a more relaxing environment and a guy that will put me at ease as well as go to bat for me to keep me in a continuous medical (as long as I meet the criteria of course) until retirement. Any recommendations?
And what do you think about just scheduling an appointment to meet an AME with no exam so you can interview him and make sure he works for you. It would be worth the cost of a visit to rule someone out, like the last guy I had.

Howdy fellow pilots!
I am new to this forum and reopening an old post, as I need advises! The last exchanges I saw were dated a couple of years ago, so...
The AME I used to go to (Dr. Bobby G. Smith, in Arlington, TX) for the last 7 years retired, and I need to renew my medical.
Do you know any AME, in the DFW area, that is pilot friendly, and put you at ease (= doesn't stress you more than necessary :-) ...)?
Of course, after my visit, I will provide back to the forum my experience feedback!
Thank you again for your help!
