AME in Dallas?
 

Anyone have a recommendation for an AME in Dallas or North Dallas suburbs? Thank you in advance.

Depends on what your looking for. If you have no health issues and are looking for cheap, try Dr. Griffin (I think he charges about $40 with out EKG, $80 with). If you do have underlying health issues, Dr. Krass is more expensive but better at helping resolve the FAA problems.

Unrelated to Dallas, but equally important, if you're looking for a VERY good AME in the DC area that is "thorough", PM me.

Yeah, Griffin's fine if your health is ok. A bit quirky perhaps but actually a decent guy. I go to him because he's close by, but I used to go to Fried and certainly still would if I were nearer to Carrollton. Never been to Krass but have heard varying satisfaction with him (though mostly good).

Thanks to all of you. Griffin screwed me about 20 years ago. I was just issued a new special issuance and Fried is close to where I live. Thanks again.

Krass with a problem.

+ 1,000,000 on Griffin. I used to see Fried and he was good - but Doc Griffin is eeeeeeZ and cheap.

Fried was 15 minutes from the house but I drive 45 to see Doc Griffin.

Yes, but if you have ANY kind of issue, Griffin will throw you under the bus faster than you can blink!

He screwed up some paperwork on me a couple of years ago, which resulted in a nice certified letter from Oklahoma City. Luckily, Marsha over at APA got it straightened out with just a couple of phone calls.

I moved on to Krass and have never looked back.
