Vegas AME?
Can anybody recommend a good AME in Vegas? Preferably on the NW side of town, but not absolutely necessary.

I've been using John Dudek. No free passes for obvious or documented stuff but he doesn't go unnecessarily digging for dirt either.

I found a great AME in the NW Las Vegas area.
Dr. Owen is at 7660 W Cheyenne Suite 110. The phone number is (702) 722-2665. He charges $120 for a 1st class without EKG and $170 with an EKG. That's about $70 cheaper than 3 other docs I contacted. Amazing that there's so much difference. Dr. Owen built and flies a Lancair out of N Las Vegas airport. His availability is outstanding (can usually get me in the same day or the next day) and he's VERY cooperative and helpful in keeping pilots flying. I've been to him twice now and he might be the best FAA doc I've had in 20 or 30 years. HIGHLY recommended. |
