20/25 Vision
 

I'm a college student looking to get a first class medical. The only problem is my best corrected vision with glasses is only 20/25 in both my eyes, though my doc said I was pretty close to 20/20 with my left eye. Is there anyway for me to get a medical with a special issuance/SODA or is it not possible to get a medical?

Ask an aviation medical examiner.

Anything is POSSIBLE but one eye 20/20 and the other eye 20/25 would be a whole lot easier. What is the nature of the diagnosis that leaves you with only 20/25 best corrected? That makes a difference too.

The ophthalmologist said nothing was wrong with my eyes, just that I probably didn't develop the nerves to see 20/20 when I was a kid. So nothing medically wrong with them.

Hi,i see that you were able to get your first class cert. i'm a student and i was wondering if you could provide me with tips and things that helped you to get it? My corrected vision in one eye is 20/25 and the other 20/20, together my vision is 20/20, how would i have to go about getting my medical cert for first class ?
