Would I pass a 1st class medical exam?
Two years ago my vision randomly went blurry a couple of times. I have had no issues since. (I think it was due to a medication I was taking). But my doctor made note of it in my military medical file.
I also injured my knee in the gym a while back, which occasionally gives me minor issues now. It's nothing major and wouldn't impede my ability to fly. (This is also in my medical file and I'm planning on filing for partial disability).
Would either of these things make it difficult to pass a 1st class medical exam?
- Thanks

Make sure you annotate the knee issue on your history. It almost certainly will not be an issue, but denying you put in for disability for it would be if they ever caught you.
Otherwise, if you meet vision criteria now it's unlikely the previous vision issues woukd stop you. A lot of retired military have been a little bleary-eyed the morning after the night before.

There, eye issues fixed.
Seriously, make sure you ask around and see what AME the local pilots use. Don’t just see the first guy who pops up in a google search or someone just becisse they accept your insurance.
Ask, find a doc who understands the process.

Any temp vision problems caused by polluted water on base, or a LOD knee injury won’t cause any problems.
What was said above is true. Like any other FAA form, read the question, and answer it truthfully. One asks something regarding disability.
A few FAA pilots recently made headlines, and lost their medical, and probably their job for not answering truthfully, and other associated things.
