AME Dr. Robert Kurrle and FAA
Does anyone have any specifics regarding what is going on with Dr. Kurrle and the FAA?
I’m an MIA based airline pilot and our union has notified our pilots that some medicals are being deemed invalid requiring a new medical within 60 days of receiving an official notification from the FAA.
Have any pilots received a letter yet? Does the letter include any details?

The practice website shows that it's been taken over by Dr. Sherman, with Kurrle having retired effective March 1st.

My current medical is less than a month old. Debating if I should demand a refund because it costs me a visit to primary care to get a status letter. What a pain in the a$$!
ALPA published a template of the letter if you want to read it.

Anyone knows where else keystone is available?
Got mild cvd so it's an alternative exam I can pass.
Did the FAA tag all people that has ever been examined by him?
Mine has been renewed a while back, not sure if I'll get such letter as well...
Anyone knows specifics or bothered to call the clinic for details?
Thanks

If you paid for a medical and they gave you a bogus one, you're entitled to a refund (assuming you were fit to fly and didn't collude in falsification).

Good morning,
A family member informed me earlier today that a letter addressed to me by the FAA has arrived. However, because I am currently continuing my education elsewhere, I will not be able to directly contact the FAA for further guidance. The letter clearly states that in order to avoid any complications I ought to schedule for another FAA examination, clearly, with another FAA medical examiner.
Now because I live in the Middle-East region, the letter took around a month to arrive and so I have about a month to complete that examination.
Is there any possible way to ask for a refund, whom should I contact? Has anyone here done that ?
What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance,
CaptEng

Ofcourse I want a refund! He was authorised by the FAA to conduct such examinations and it ultimately is upon them to deal with such incompetence instead of passing the problem on to victims of fraud.
And stop talking like he retired out of choice. If you haven't read the letter then I suggest you keep to yourself before making a fool of yourself. However, if you have then I feel even more sorry for your comprehensive capabilities.
