New pilot & Monocular Vision
#11
I know this is an old thread but I have the same issue as you do, When I was younger I was struck in the eye with a bottle rocket and now I'm blind in one eye.
I do have some questions for you or anyone else that might be able to answer them. You said you got your class 1 med cert, then you have to take a flight test, Is that safe to say they already gave you the med cert and now all you have to do is continue to learn to fly and it's conditional on the passing the flight test?
How much does the med flight test cost from the FSDO?
What were the steps? Did you schedule the AME, fail due to the blindness in the one eye than have to do additional paperwork or does the AME fill everything out send it up and the FAA goes ahead and conditionally approves your medical on the agreement you pass the med flight?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
