I've flown (GA) with that kind of thing, just took it off in the cockpit. Probably fine if you can do the rudder OK. If in doubt ask the AME.
If it's airline flying, you might also consider emergencies... you would need to be able to run around and herd pax in the event of an evac.

No way you could fly with that with an airline or even part 135 unless it's a really small plane. I'd ask your AME or call AOPA Aeromedical or AMAS. Imagine if you got ramp checked while wearing the boot, don't think it would go over too well.
