Bit of an odd question for AME

Hello, I’m brand new and concerned about getting my medical. The hospital where my doctors were closed and I haven’t been able to obtain my records, the doctors are no longer practicing. The form says to list all visits from the past three years and I honestly can’t remember. I went mostly for medication refills. I’m also concerned those medications would prohibit me from passing. I’m not taking them anymore. They made my life easier but I don’t have to have them to function.

I know the AME I’d like to see as an acquaintance from family members and airport meetings so he isn’t a stranger.

Any advice or input is appreciated!

Log in to your insurance co website and look at the claims.

Check these lists and see if any of the meds you were on were grounding:

Sounds like you're talking about SSRI's or similar?

If so you'll need a clean bill of health from a psych professional, and be off meds for some period of time (6-12 months?). The FAA should approve you pretty quickly as long as you're COMPLETELY healthy without meds.

As for the doc visits, if you can't find it online, just estimate the dates. The FAA will probably not split hairs over exact dates for multiple visits for the same condition, or even omitted visits for minor conditions... what they get REALLY bent out of shape about (ie federal felony) is failing to disclose grounding conditions or significant changes to such conditions.

1. Don’t lie about your history, or you are screwed.
2. This is the general sequence of events...
