Default Vaccine Prohibition?

Curious anyone aware of any Part 121 Air Carriers that have come out and told their pilots not to get the FDA & FAA approved Pfizer vaccine?

No.

They probably cannot legally do that. The days of (US) airlines having their own medical/physical standards above the FAA requirements are long gone.

Plus they don't WANT you to not get the vaccine.

Plus foriegn countries are going to require it for inbound aliens anyway.

There is a carrier that has told its pilots that it cannot get it, even after the FAA approved it.

If my airline did that, I'd go ahead and get it anyway as soon as available. Then enjoy my time off and eventual full back pay... that's not a case they can win.

I'm talking USA, overseas anything is possible, and probably likely.

Yep, ask forgiveness and take the time off for quarantine, etc. Once you took the vaccine, they cannot very well undo it, now can they?

Why on earth would you tell your company you got it? They have no access to your medical records. How would they ever know if you got it?

Wow. Maybe they're thinking if a vaccinated pilots turns into a zombie and crashes a plane, they can cliam plausible deniability because they told you not to?

More likely they didn't get the latest update from the FAA (FAA initially said that the EUA vaccines were not approved, but quickly changed their tune.
