I'm just ****ed my AME told me to be class three medical and stick to local flights.

Find a better AME. Even if you have to get on a plane. Plenty of airline pilots nonrev to do their medical with an AME they know and trust.

Yep. I see a specialist AME. Thankfully she's driving distance.

This^^^^!

My AME will redo the EKG if there is anything non-perfect in the readout like noise from air conditioner, body movement, etc. Not sure what he’s do for Afib but suspect he’d be way more proactive than your AME. Find another AME and don’t look back. And make sure your friends know how this guy handles things.

Thanks, team. Lesson learned.
