Post Faa medical class 3

Hi Im relatively new to the workings of he fat and how they decide whether or not i get to fly, back in may I had my 3rd class medical exam which I passed. I got sent out my 3rd class medical papers and then about a week later my AME said Oklahoma needed more documents pertaining to an eye problem I have. (I have a scar on my right eye caused by toxoplasmosis) I finally got a word back saying I was cleared for the 3rd class medical but at the bottom of my medxpress application is says "Not valid for any class after 05/31/2023" does this mean after may of next year I won't be able to try and get any class above a 3rd? If so im wondering why I would even go through the time and money it takes to finish lessons. Please give me some insight, thanks!

No, that just means that your medical is not good for the usual three-year duration of a 3C and they'll need to see you back again in one year. You should be fine as long as the condition is stable.
