Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia?

Has anyone had any experience with Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia (PAT)? Treatment times, what testing FAA required, Special Issuance issuance time, etc.?

Thanks.

Initial issuance has to be done by the FAA docs and Lord only knows how long that will take. If you have a regional flight surgeon willing to help it’ll generally go quicker. After that as long as the condition is stable your regular AME can do renewals. Here is their current guidance:

If it's supraventricular tachycardia, with no other symptoms and controlled through either meds or ablation, after initial deferral should be just an annual report from cardio to include EKG. Initially, expect labs, holter monitor, and possibly stress test.
