Actually it does imply I must redo my SI.

The wording of my SI states it must ve reevaluated when there is ANY change in cardiac standards.

But hey, you know more than AMAS, the specialist AME I have to see or my cardiologist who is also an AME.

Or the FAA regional flight surgeon.

Let me tell them all that some Jabroni on APC said I dont have to do anything.

I'm sure that will get me back to work with a valid medical faster than doing what AMAD, my AME and the FAA want/require.

Good luck to ya, brightspark.

If standards are set for reading comprehension, you may need a special issuance for that, too. You take care. You'll need it.

I was unaware you are the FAA Flight Surgeon.

Can you call off your Regional FS who is requiring a bunch of new tests? I'm sure just screencaps of your posts will suffice.

Jabroni.

It would seem there's a great deal of which you are unaware.

And as expected, certified letter from OKC today, saying yes, I do have to re-do a bunch of painful testing. And spend $10k plus. And be out of work for months.

I guess I should reply "John Burke on APC says this shouldn't happen " and see where they go with it.

Sorry you have to deal with this. Just curious what’s the condition requiring all the retesting? I know several people on cardiac related SI and no one has heard a peep about needing additional info.

Myocarditis/ MI combo meal at 23 due to reaction to Anthrax vaccine. Totally normal EKG before, abnormal since. SI was worded "any change in standards" triggering renewal. Had been since a couple years of EKG being abnormal but stable, as long as my EKG was "new normal" I required no further testing but akso had done restrictions on drugs I could take, BP/Resting HR had to stay normal etc.
