Default 1st Class Medical

This may be a dumb question. My buddy I and were in a argument the otherday. The topic was HIV testing to get a 1st class medical. He claimed that to get a 1st class medical, a person had to get a HIV test. Is this true? I told him that he was wrong; he insisted that he was right. We looked on the internet and couldnt find anything. Anybody know for sure?

Been flying a long time and never had to give blood for a FAA physical! You win!

Default Bloodwork

The company I work for punctures us twice a year.
To add insult to injury we have to pay for the JCAB physical. $303, plus any extras such as a PSA or FAA medical certificate.
We do a mandatory drug screen too.
No HIV testing that I'm aware of.
Just coughed up 417 bucks on the 12th in Anchorage.

Military personnel get an annual HIV test, maybe someone got confused about that. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of the foreign folks get an HIV.
