Pilot's with asthma

the lung tests I've had have just been done with a stethoscope. "Breath in... and out" kind of thing. Some tests go beyond that, but I've never had one and I've got a pretty bad history of asthma.

Asthma is a CACI condition so look up the worksheet. Bottom-line: all three PFT measurements > 80 and only certain meds and you’re GTG. If you’re less than 80, you need a SI.

No problem renewing a medical with a CACI. Just provide an update from your asthma doc once a year per the worksheet.
