FAA New Medical Rule Question
ok I have debated this with my friends here and their i got my 1st class medical on august of 07 and one of my friends says that I am due for a medical in upcoming august while my other friend says that, because of the new medical rule, I am not due for a medical until august of 2011 because of the new 5 year extention for under 40s like me, can an expert clear this mess of a confusion up!!!!

It all depends on what you want to do with that first class medical...
If you are an airline CA under 40, you needed a new one before SEP 08.
If you are an airline CA 40+, you needed a new one before MAR 08.
If you are an airline SIC (or any other commercial pilot) you needed a new one before SEP 08.
If you fly for fun and are under 40, you will need a new one before SEP 2012.
If you fly for fun and are 40+, you will need a new one before SEP 2010.
But you should read the rules and decide for yourself.
