Color Vision
 

I know...this has been discussed on here before, but I would like some help with my specific situation. I was not able to pass the Ishihara or Dvorine color tests that my AME gave me. I missed 7 on the Dvorine (only 6 misses are allowed), and my AME seems to think that my next step is a SODA. Is it not true that if I can find an examiner who offers one of the alternate tests and pass that test, then I can have the restriction lifted?

Your specific situation is WELL covered in previous threds. Many people here have the same problems and everything you need to know has been covered. I would suggest a search of the subject and then if you have specific question there are many on the forum who will gladly help.
Quick answer though - - the test you failed IS NOT the only test available.

Be aware that you only get one or two attempts at the SODA...if you fail it you will be excluded from commercial flying for life. Exhaust all other options before you go there.

Also, use the search window at the upper left of the screen instead of the "Search" menu, as the latter has some indexing problems.
