"Difficult case" AMEs

After reading up, I think the best course of action for me would be to get a consult from an AME. I've had 2 recommended to me - one near Peoria (and I think he was namelessly mentioned in another recent thread), and someone near DEN.

I'm a bit wary, though. I've only talked with the Peoria AME online, and without having met him, I'll need to send him personal files and money. His site is hosted from his ISP, and it sounds like he operates out of the local airport (I don't know if that's common for AMEs or not). Having not dealt with any AME before, this raises red flags for me. Yet I always hear him highly recommended.
I want to make sure my files (and money) are in good hands here... has anyone here personally dealt with him?

Or have a recommendation of any other "difficult case" AMEs (in the US)?
I only get one first medical, I do -not- want to choose the wrong person to handle it.

perating out of an airport is not uncommon for AME's. It usually means tey like to fly themselves which is a good thing.

These guys are well know in the industry...
