1st class med not req'd for FO's

Faa published their final rule today. ATP required for FO's but you only need a second class medical unless you are flying supplemental or flag with multiple crews.

Nice find. Saved me the heartache of trying to get a medical in the next month ( for us old FO's)

Is a medical cert required for an ATP check or can a military flight physical suffice?

I did mine with an AF 1042, but that was three years ago.

If you're doing the check in an airplane you only need a third class and I believe the Air Force medical covers that. If you're doing the ATP and a type in a sim you don't need a medical at all.
