That's good to hear, I never really bothered with loosing weight, I was always OK with where I was until now. The thing with the water, especially while exercising, I tend to get dehydrated, so a long time ago, my doctor recommended 2gal/day, but I have this thing for ice water, so yeah, its more than needed....
I've vaguely remember hearing that if you consume A LOT of protein, you need excess water for your body to absorb it. You could try lowering your protein intake and increasing your fruit and vegetable intake, although I agree that a 2 pound per week loss is a very healthy way to do it.

Looks good so far. I'm sticking to my Atkins pretty well so far. I bought the low carb beer in the hope I could partake now and then. That's got to go though. No more beer for a while. The thing I dislike most about Atkins is the boring menu. I get sick of eggs, cheese, meat all the time. I really miss a sandwich. The part I like is that I go through sugar withdrawal in about 3 days and thereon do not crave the candy bar. After that I drop weight very fast. I'm hoping about 10 pounds a month.

Good luck to us all.

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

Mike, good luck with the Atkins diet. Just watch your cholesterol, I had a friend who had a problem with that on that diet.

I like the South Beach Diet better than Adkins. It doesn't cut out all carb like Adkins, but has you eat more un-processed and natural foods. I think that is a healthier way to go than earing all those choleterol ridden meats and cheeses. You body does need some carbs, just not all that pure white sugar and high fructose corn syrup.

I need to buy that book. Maybe I can borrow it. The thing I like about Atkins is Ketosis. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketosis) I pee on the stick and know I'm burning fat. It's immediate feedback. I'm sure South Beach is healthier though.

When people criticize the Atkins method I usually agree it is not the healthiest but it is much more healthy than being very obese. I think it is a great way for really fat people to get down to a more healthy weight from where they can adopt a more healthy diet.

Mike, just curious if you know anything about LA Weight Loss. A friend lost 30 pounds on it and it was not only her pregnancy fat.

What exercise regimen are you into? How many minutes on cardio do you do? I do at least 20 minutes each day, but I think I need to do more and more.

How much fat do you burn peeing on a stick, more than peeing in the toilet, or the woods?

Just kidding! Keep that stick purple.

Mike,

You know the definition of an optimist? Someone who starts a diet during the holidays...
