AME in Denver (Aurora)

Hello,

I just found out that my AME William Fell is no longer practicing and I'm in need of a new AME in the Denver/Aurora area. Does any one know of MATTHEW LUGLIANI MD, he's showing up on the FAA database.

Basically, I would like to find a good AME that's always willing to work with you. I don't have any issues that I know of, always a clean bill of health, but since I'm approaching my 40's I would like to build a relationship with an AME that's there to help me keep flying if there's ever any issue.

Thanks

Go to Dr. Ladwig. Lots of Denver pilots use him. I went to him once and had a good experience. I am no longer in the Denver area so that's why I don't use him anymore!

I actually heard that Ladwig is great while you are young with no medial issues, but if anything ever comes up, he doesn't work with you whatsoever and now you have to figure it out on your own.
I did found out that Dr. John Harris in Centennial received all of Dr. Fells medical records, so since he already has my record I'm going to give him a try.

Anyone used him before? Thoughts?

I use Joseph Sever at Hamden Medical Group $99 out the door. Nice guy and haven't had any problems even after a surgery just had paperwork ready for him from the surgeon saying everything was good.

+1000 on Dr. ladwig (or a General Ladwig for those in the know). I am not in Colorado anymore but travel 1500 miles every year to see him for my medical.

Regarding the comment about age or him not working with you. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Two examples.

1) I am a 90% disabled Vet. And 43 years old. Went through 8 different AMEs before Doc ladwig. Was approved same day I saw him. Every other single AME wouldn't touch me to even defer and told me to pack up my va med file and send it off to the faa.

2) Doc ladwig is directly responsible for the recent changes to many formally disqualifying medical issues which now allow the AME to issue special issuances.

Best AME on the planet!

One other item.

Doc ladwig got approval for a pilot who is a paraplegic to fly helicopters. The man is a miracle worker.
