Yes, there are a bunch of trips with really late release times, and you might get a line with trips that have late finishes, but I see trips that end early (1300-1700) all the time in open time with decent credit. You can swap with those. I'm waiting for this Seniority Based trades to process tomorrow afternoon, and I'll show you what I come up with at an outstation base if you'd like to see. Just PM me.

Well, in my case I was living in TYS at the time. a 4 day trip with a 1900 report kinda feels a lot like a 3 day to me, so I loved them.

I'm retiring soon from the military and the RTP program through PSA is at the top of my list. We were planning to move to Eastern TN so TYS would be perfect. Has anyone heard anymore about closing it as a crew base?

That rumor has been around since the base opened.

This comes down to a matter of "don't feed the trolls".

Thanks for the quick responses. That's what I was guessing from reading all the threads.

As with any Regional things can, will and do change. I would def be looking past what you want out of our Regional life if you are trying to nail down a place to live long term. Where do you want to end up at and what would your commute to there be like from TYS ? etc etc good luck

We, military folk, think about moving in a different manner than most of the normal population. Moving to most of us is like changing toothbrushes. That being said having just gone through it I moved to a PSA base and don't regret it. Then again we were ready to move when the PSA days were done. Up to you but living in base changes the job completely. You are probably already used to spending copious amounts of time on the road and commuting is similar. It potentially adds time to the front and/or back of trips and makes flying out and backs non-beneficial.

Wherever you end up, good luck, and have fun

Thank you. We know we want to buy our long term home near TYS. Our oldest son goes to UT and our youngest graduates HS in 2019, so we'll be empty nesting and starting the next chapter. I guess regardless there will either be a commute working for PSA or when I get to a major.
