Thanks for the info. I guess I was unclear about that. Is it ringing true they are hiring many many guys brand new like me without experience to avoid those that are over qualified?
What is the fastest way to get to a major? I really want to skip the entire non-glamourous regional phase. May be for some but I don't think it's for me.

What if you start indoc, then for some reason have to leave (ex. military leave, emergency, etc.) and later you return to the beginning of indoc again? Do you keep your original senority, or do you have to start all over again? If you have to start with a new senority number, did this just change or has it always been that way? Thank you.

There are some leaves that must be granted per law, namely military and FMLA, but outside of those, why risk it? If you are terminated during training, you will have to disclose that you started a 121 training program and didn't finish. It is much like a 121 failure, and people will just assume that you washed out.
If you do get leave, you do keep your seniority and number.

Simply put, if you don't think that you can complete training, or are going to need to take a leave, don't start. You are on probation for a year, so they can fire you.

Flight hours during reserve
Not sure if I've seen this anywhere, but about how many hours (per month) can a new FO expect to fly while sitting either LCR or SCR at CLT or DCA? Is it substantially less than getting a BU line or an R1 line?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thank you. Is that actual flying or just hours credit? Just wondering how many trips you can expect to pick up. Do you generally pick up entire (2-3-4 day) trips or just a few legs? Thanks again!

You can't really pick up when you're on reserve (5 day blocks with 2/3 days off in between).
