The PSA Cadet page doesn’t mention anything about it, but I’m wondering if that would prevent me from being accepted into the program.
When it comes to an interview and they ask about the failures, OWN IT! Talk about what you learned and how it made you a smarter and stronger aviator going forward. Talk about how it made your drive and desire all the more greater. DO NOT blame it on a bad instructor or examiner, an unfair situation or unlucky set of circumstances against you, AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT!

Anyone else looking to interview and any 121 should take this advice. The airlines are hungry for pilots but they don't want excuses and they don't want to hire someone who will wash out. Own your mistakes, we all make them.

Can anyone shed some light to the holiday Policy while in training? I am trying to figure out my timeline as I start in the 21 OCT class. Do we get Thanksgiving and Christmas off? If we do great, if not no big deal. I just want to set up expectation management for my wife on whether I will be there or not.

tell her to plan like you won’t be there. Go see friends or relatives.

Good chance you will be able to show up at some point, but it’s hard to say when And you may not find out very far in advance.

I'm looking at PSA due to the TYS base. Is that closing or is it still a viable option? Thanks!

TYS closing has been the joke since the day that it opened. There have been no indications that any bases are closing.

I would like to do that if I can figure out a good way of doing that within the bounds of good etiquette. Suggestions?
