Fact of the matter is that we help make CLT hub profits HUGE for AAL. They (AAL and PSA management) know it, but they continue to pretend like we are overpaid and underworked. Since we are wholly-owned it's the only real tool they have, all done for the benefit of AAL's bottom line.

As JB said above, the goal would be being able to get everything you want out of a PBS without having to burn a day off, that you had to SAP off the prior month so you could have a day to work on your schedule, to get it.
That said, this also requires very junior people to grow a brain and realize that just because you're number 180 out of 180 FOs (or CAs) means that you're not automatically entitled to every weekend, holiday, and triple coupon Tuesday off. Welcome to the airlines. You too will be senior one day.
ALPA also needs to grow a set and realize that if TR tries to shove this thing through without a big flow increase, compensation increase, soft pay improvements, and other serious QOL improvements beyond whatever rumored Reserve improvement LOA, that the MEC is going to get their heads taken off when a bunch of ****ed off people realize that there actually is a recall procedure in the ALPA Constitution and By Laws.

Name one actual company that has PBS the way you've invisioned it as everyone getting what they want?
Let me answer, Delta, with 5:15 credit days, and a green rsv grid on most fleets to have have swap/drop availability.
Since you know that won't happen you've chosen to beat the group up and state number 180 won't get his whishlist, when in reality number

This past CA SAP apparently had some of the longest Processing times we have seen yet.
Personally I didn’t SAP at all for August. I bid specifically for a line I could live with and I was actually awarded a halfway decent line so I didn’t see much worth in bothering with it this time.

The longer processing times will discourage people from using SAP, which will then allow it to fade away as people become increasingly dissatisfied with the hours it takes to use it. All by design.

Any pending request you have after SAP closes will still be processed.
