There is a more expensive plan st $542.53 per paycheck. Less out of pocket to be sure, but you’d had to have just about maxed out your out of pocket on the less expensive plan to have saved any money.
There’s also a Flex Spending Account available as well.

Vision is $6.59 per paycheck for the standard plan for a family, and about double that for the premium plan.
90 days after employment is what our HR Handouts say. Kinda long, but you can do COBRA from a your previous employer to make up the slack. As I recall, you have 60 days after leaving your prior employer to elect coverage, then 60 days after that to pay the premiums.
