Are the upgrades and current captains, forced or voluntary, going to get in on this alluded to bonus money?
I hope someone takes these points very seriously. Otherwise, there will be a lot of angry pilots at PSA.

I've quit reading them. Especially when it tries to "educate" us on a section of the contract that I am familiar with and have seen crew pay or scheduling violate with impunity...

You can't even talk to a chief pilot anymore to get something resolved. Voicemail unless it's an "emergency." Twice I have had polite emails to the CP office requesting resolution for a problem just simply ignored.

So ?

What are going to do ?

(not necessarily you in particular, just in general)

People are not going to give up their seniority or their Flow comfort blankie.

They know they can ride us into the ground and we'll say yes sir.

Till that changes...

I have had mostly very positive interactions with the CPs to try and help resolve personal and professional (work or pay related etc) issues. I think they are over-worked and under-paid just like many of us.

Awful, how about making the position desirable enticing FOs to fly more and get the hours and volunteer... “improved reserve rules” haaaaa

So if PSA matches other WOs with DEC bonus, it will be interesting to see how many pilot will be jumping from one WO to another.

I can only see 2 reasons NOT to do it (if you don't live in base, although if you live in CLT you might as well be a commuter if forced to upgrade):
1. You lose your flow (which is not a big deal IMO unless you are really into AA)
2. You have to spend another 3-4 month in initial

However, besides that, all 3 WOs reserve rules are bad, so the incentive is to get extra $$$ (and free hotels and positive space tix for 3 months in Envoy case).

Union - "Hey, we should make reserve rules better and increase pay to incentivize upgrades and we'll even sign in LoA in good faith to give you temporary relief"

Company - "Ok"

Union - "Soooo.... the agreed upon good faith date has come and gone... we going to improve reserve rules and pay or what?"

Company - "EFFF that we'll give street captains who have no time or loyalty to us a huge sign on bonus instead"

Company email - "we want to be the best and most respected... you need to step your professionlism..."

If they think that our on-time ("D:0") departures are bad now,......... just wait until they start paying street Captains more than our current Captains.
