One guy was telling me that for some people it was cheaper to take the time off and be at home than paying for crashpad/hotels and expenses on the road

Yea absolutely. I had another job at the time and I was in the middle of remodeling and flipping a house so it worked out.

Good day all. It’s 2021 and I’m curious about the differences between these regionals?

Here’s my quick rundown on the three. Let me know how off I am.

Envoy. Fancy new jets, longer flow. PSA. Longer reserve times and eh flow. PDT. Old jets, poor work rules but quicker upgrade and MAYBE quicker flow.

on the PDT side, we are entering some contract negotiations soon and rumors are good but they are just that. Rumors.

I will be willing to bet flows will have to be changed for all three WO. Otherwise by mid 2022, they will be completely meaningless. AA will be backed into a corner by the realities of the world. Just my crystal ball.

AA gets backed into corner, sees own reflection in TW's crystal ball: "Damn, I look good."

Color me skeptical.

An increase in flow makes their staffing issues that much harder to deal with, and so they likely won’t do that.

Mind boggling that people can't grasp this concept.

Yep. Doesn’t mean that pilots won’t continue to bail in record numbers. AA Pilot Recruitment is even pulling in pilots without degrees (gasp! Oh the horror!). Rumor is UAL is going hard after WO pilots, and FDX and DAL are taking as many PSA pilots as American is.

It’s about to get crazy folks.

Either way they're leaving
so they can leave via flow and stay "in house" or go to the competitor...
