It’s really fluid. Since we’re getting fat on FOs, reserve times are slowly creeping up. I’d say an average of about a year now.

Anyone hired today is looking at least a year on reserve unless you bid ORF or DAY which are currently at 9 months. Unless attrition picks up or we accelerate our airplane deliveries these times won't be going down. We will have March numbers in a few weeks.

How much flying can you pick up on reserve as a FO out of DAY or CVG?

11 days off, so whatever you can squeeze into that. Probably not a lot unless you can move days assuming they’re green.

Rounding to one significant digit - zero.

Thing is, you basically cannot pick up flying on your work days (18/month). And you have to have 1 day in 7 off. So the max you can work is 24 days/month. So you might be able to pick up a trip here and there but I would say it

1) would round to zero hour per month rather than 10
2) will not meaningfully change your pay or logbook, but will take your barely viable quality of life and hold its head underwater til it stops thrashing.

Is there a rough estimate of the number of hours a FO based out of CVG or DAY would fly a month on reserve?

Depends on the month, but anywhere between 0 and maybe up to 40
