Default Does PSA want you to have a degree?

I'm an army helicopter guy and dont have a complete degree yet. I plan on paying put of pocket for my fixed wing ratings before I apply and was wanting to know if it is required or highly encouraged to have a degree first.

Thanks

Not required. I fly with plenty of guys who don’t have one.

I believe PSA is still paying for helicopter pilots to get their fixed-wing rating. I'd recommend you look into that.

I am looking into that. However I am probably gonna get my ratings first and use the 25k I believe it is to finish off my time building. Granted that I am successful with everything interview and all.

Best wishes. All the former military helicopter pilots I’ve flown with have been a pleasure to work with.

Thanks. That's very encouraging. I think that has to do with the possible QOL enhancement civilian flying is compared to military. You're flying with people who are genuinely happy with their job. But that's just a guess.

It is very much this. There is simply no comparison to airline life and active duty. The nice thing is that your military experience often makes you very grateful for the simplest things.

That's excellent to hear. I knew I couldn't be too far off.

Adding on to this, can you still flow without a degree? Or will AA require a degree to flow.

Thanks!
