Passing on the flow Q?
We had a relatively new PSA guy in the Jumpseat this week. He told us something that surprised the both of us. He said a decent amount of pilots in the 2015’ish range are choosing not to flow because of their current QOL. True?

None of that year group have, as of now, had the opportunity to make good on such a statement.

We are currently flowing guys hired in early 2014. The only guys hired in the past 5-6 years who I’ve met that don’t plan to flow are those with less than 5-7 years and some senior sim instructors / APDs or management pilots. Everyone else is here to flow if they don’t get out sooner.

This is not true. I’ve also met a lot of guys here who hired on with the intention of riding out the end of their careers here and have chosen to flow.

It would be possible, and even likely, if trip and duty rigs, as well as a real min day were implemented. Those would either fix most of the schedule-building issues, or the pilot group would be compensated adequately any time the company felt the need to build 12 hour 4-days.
